ACT NOW to Support $100M in US EPA Clean Air in Schools Budget

Call Your US Senators Now and ask them to add their names to Senator Gillibrand’s ‘dear colleagues’ letter to the appropriations committee supporting EPA’s need for $100M to address clean indoor air in schools.  Biden’s proposed budget short-changes clean air in schools and children’s ability to think and learn.

EPA Healthy Schools and Air Quality

Poor indoor environments in schools decrease seat time, attendance and test scores, and increase asthma and other health events, and thus increase health costs. There is clearly a significant need to educate, train, and encourage schools and childcare facilities on child-safe and effective preventive management of facilities, and EPA has the existing authorizations and the programs to conduct this work. EPA’s voluntary indoor air and school-related programs have resulted in great successes over the years; now is the time to expand them to full scale with the resources schools and communities need to enjoy Clean Air in Schools.

Deadline to sign is TUESDAY, March 28th.

Thank You to Early Senate Supporters: US Senators Blumenthal (CT), Booker (NJ), Cardin (MD), Casey (PA), Duckworth (IL), Feinstein (CA), Reed (RI), Warren (MA)
