Fire officials said no one was injured Wednesday evening after a chemical spill occurred inside a science lab at Sacred Heart University.
Dispatchers received a call a few minutes after 8 p.m. reporting a chemical spill inside the lab on the university campus, the Fairfield Fire Department said in a post on Facebook.
Firefighters were sent to the scene, where members of the university’s public safety department already had evacuated and secured the building, the department said.
