Washington, D.C. This fall, the 7News I-Team released exclusive test results showing what’s really in school lunches, from pesticides to heavy metals. We found harmful toxins that could impact developing children, but there are no standards in place to protect kids. Now, our reporting is getting traction in Congress, where key Senators want to reach across the aisle to take action.

Simple school lunches collected in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland that consist of things like pizza and salad — were found to contain unseen, largely unregulated toxins that have been linked to developmental delays, liver disease, and even cancer.
