Coordinated by Healthy Schools Network, National Healthy Schools Day is an annual event to promote and celebrate healthy schools. This year’s event–our 23rd!–combined many days and actions throughout much of April. It featured four webinars that highlighted state and local programs in six key states, with nine speakers reaching hundreds of participants, including state and Tribal agency staff, NGOs, school personnel, and community members. The state and local efforts are actively protecting school buildings, protecting children from extreme weather events, and reducing indoor toxics to improve indoor air and ensure safer and faster disaster cleanups.
